Therefore to expand the capabilities of the M9 network in Amsterdam we are looking for a junior Operations Employee who will share our values and become part of our friendly M9 Team. The job is an all-round job for all commodities and you will be handling Air/Ocean/Rail/Road and warehousing shipments. There will be enough room for you to develop yourself and we will offer personal training which is required for the job.

Main duties of All-round operations employee are:

• Handling of imports and exports by air, sea and land, from the reception and documentation, to manage the delivery with transport company and forwarders.
• Coordination of international freight forwarding with specific of usual handling to/from different markets (destinations/origins), receiving of customers’ orders.
• Daily contact with customers, freight forwarders, customs agents, transport Companies.
• Keeping of orders in company database. 
• Issuing of debit notes to customers and filling of expenses from providers.
• Possible tasks depending on having business: Logistic warehouse tasks, control of receiving products into warehouse through w/h partners, daily shipments control, picking and packing tasks through them, contact with transport companies.
• Calculation of transport costs, creating of proposals to co customers and internally in the company networking, choosing of transportation routes.
• Making quotations to customers, own offices and network agents.
• Negotiating rates with carriers and suppliers.

Performance indicators:

• Responses to customer requests and the provision of commercial proposals within 24 hours of receipt.
• Registration of all requests and operations in CW within 24 hours.

Required skills and experience:

• From junior to experienced skill set in logistics products, or fresh university graduate, willing to start a career in logistics.
• Overall market knowledge.
• Well-knowledge of English and Dutch.
• Willing to develop yourself.
