Therefore, to expand our capabilities we are looking for an Business Development Manager who will share our values and become part of our friendly M9 Team. 

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement sales plans to achieve set objectives, identifying and pursuing new opportunities while staying abreast of industry trends. Effectively manage sales activities. Propose ideas to the manager about sales methods to increase sales volume and efficiency. Analyze and report the sales target vs. actual performance to the manager monthly.

Revenue Generation: Use your knowledge and skills to drive gross profit, analyzing performance metrics to maximize margins and contribute to the overall profitability of the company. Achieve revenue and performance targets based on assigned goals.

Product Knowledge: Demonstrate proficiency across various freight modes including air, ocean, road, and rail, collaborating internally and externally to fulfil customer requirements and grow the business.

Client Relationship Management: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention through exceptional service delivery. Design service approaches that enhance success and satisfaction. Develop the customer portfolio and ensure the sustainability of existing customer satisfaction.

Account Maintenance: Maintain regular communication with existing clients to address any concerns, identify opportunities for upselling, and ensure ongoing partnership.

New Client Acquisition: Develop and implement strategies to attract and onboard new clients, leveraging market insights and industry expertise to identify growth opportunities. Conduct customer visits and report to the manager.

Market Insights: Stay updated on local market dynamics, trends, and competitor activities to inform business decisions and drive competitive advantage. Identify market opportunities and trends, create action plans, and report to the manager.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight forwarding sales, demonstrating a track record of success in achieving sales targets.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of freight sales and operations and industry trends.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on results.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
